Founded in 1989 under the name of Toride International Friendship Promotion Committee, and reorganized expansively to Toride International Friendship Association in 2002, we, TIFA, are striving toward the achievement of the goals and objectives stated below along with approximately 300 volunteer members.


         Assisting to form a framework of the society more receptive to non-Japanese residents and to hearten such residents to participate in the society.

     Enhancing a Spirit of Trans-Cultural Friendship
    Promoting events, parties, seminars and any other opportunities of this kind that may contribute toward mutual respect and tolerance across different cultures as well as peaceful co-existence.

     Fostering Cross-Cultural Awareness
    Developing and broadening international awareness of Toride citizens through TIFA's own publications and by any other public means.
